Black Water Tank Cleaning

TipSnip: It is a pretty common problem for the black water tank on your RV to read full, even after you just emptied it. This means the sensor in the tank needs to be cleaned. Before your next trip, add a bottle of Calgon water softner (from the laundry aisle), and a bottle of dish detergent to the tank and fill it half full. Drive to your destination and empty. The Calgon will make the inside of your tank a non stick surface, and the soap will help clean and control odor.
