Save That Cooking Water!

TipSnip: When you prepare corn on the cob, pasta, potatoes, or other vegetables, don't pour the hot water down the drain. Instead, remove the food with tongs or a slotted spoon. When the water has cooled dump it directly onto a thirsty plant, or save it in a large container to take out to your garden later.
